Secret Artist Sale

We are thrilled to announce the outstanding results of the ‘Secret Artist Sale’ 2023. This event has been an enormous success, raising just over £13,000 for five incredible charities: Breast Cancer Now, Alzheimer’s Society, Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, Shropshire Wildlife Trust, and Severn Hospice.

Returning to the Soden Collection this year, the Secret Artist Sale has exceeded all expectations. Last year, we managed to sell out all 120+ paintings in just over an hour, raising over £8,500 for our chosen charities. This year, we set our sights even higher, and the response has been truly remarkable.

We are immensely grateful for the generous contributions of over 250 artists, as well as some extraordinary donations from prominent individuals such as Joe Lycett, Harry Brioche, Sue Campion, and Antonio Villalba. These special donations formed a silent auction, allowing participants to place their bids discreetly. The highest bid at the end of the weekend claimed these exceptional artworks.

In addition to the main event, we featured three exclusive prints for sale during the weekend and beyond. Created by Chitra Merchant, Linda Edwards, and James St Clare Wade, these limited editions of just 20 prints each were available for purchase at £150 each.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the artists who generously contributed their work last year and to the dedicated customers who patiently queued for hours. The atmosphere was electric, and your appreciation was palpable, especially when we provided refreshments, including delicious bacon baps. Shrewsbury’s Wyle Cop has never witnessed such an extraordinary event!
