Born Wigan. Dr. Stanley Jones is a world-famous stone and plate lithographer. His whole life has been devoted to printmaking. He studied under Ceri Richards at the Slade and studied lithographic printing at the atelier of Gerard Patris in Paris 1956-58; he was then invited by Robert Erskine to set up a studio in London, and pilot project was a portfolio in St Ives.
