A natural draughtsman, drawing was always at the root of his work, with each piece being vastly refined prior to completion.
Jammet started printmaking in the 1970s under Julian Trevelyan who was close friends with his mother Elisabeth Frink. During the 1980s, the artist worked in freelance and editorial illustration and for a time painted in mixed media.
