Trained in the classical tradition Deborah is a modern representational artist who enjoys the challenge of working using the direct alla prima painting technique.

She paints portrait commissions, still life and landscapes in oils and charcoals at her studio in Shrewsbury. Since 2014 she has tutored atelier art classes in drawing and painting each Spring and Autumn at the studio – Shrewsbury Fine Art Studio.  She has exhibited in solo, local and national open exhibitions. Her paintings hang in corporate offices and private homes in the UK and abroad.

Having undertaken courses at Heatherley Art School and Central St Martin’s, her commitment to studying art full-time came in 2010.

 “My artistic journey began in September 2010, I changed my 30-year career in business to embark on a lifelong ambition to study art.  Under expert full-time tutelage at London Fine Art School, I gained foundation and technical skills in modern representational art. That training has equipped me to develop my painting skill and style with confidence and continuing enthusiasm.  I am excited and thrilled to be represented by Jonathan Soden at the Soden Collection,”
