Jacob Chandler, Sculptor

Jacob Chandler is fast becoming an artist to follow. Jacob has worked hard to put together a body of work amongst working on Private commissions and public commissions up and down the country. During Lockdown 2021 we spoke to Jacob live on instagram. We speak about how his carrier started and and what journey his life as a sculptor is taking.

Retrospective: “Calming Horizontals”

September 30th – November 10th

1931-2020

Born in Liverpool in 1931. Eric won a scholarship to Liverpool Grammar school then later secured a grant to attend Liverpool Art School. He was then awarded a scholarship to study in Italy at Florence Art School for 1 year. Eric then went on to Cardiff College of Art as a full time lecturer and also worked as Art critic at The Times, Eric married and moved to Shropshire where he was was inspired and painted landscapes of the Shropshire countryside and “calming horizontals”.
