Retrospective: “Calming Horizontals”
September 30th – November 10th
1931-2020
Born in Liverpool in 1931. Eric won a scholarship to Liverpool Grammar school then later secured a grant to attend Liverpool Art School. He was then awarded a scholarship to study in Italy at Florence Art School for 1 year. Eric then went on to Cardiff College of Art as a full time lecturer and also worked as Art critic at The Times, Eric married and moved to Shropshire where he was was inspired and painted landscapes of the Shropshire countryside and “calming horizontals”.
