Journey by Ian Pearsall

We are delighted to present a selection of recent works by Ian Pearsall following the success of his launch in the gallery.
–
Ian Pearsall was born in Rhodesia and since the age of 16, He lived in the Potteries where his parents were originally from. A change in studio space leant into relocation and during the pandemic Pearsall moved to the countryside on the Staffordshire/Shropshire boarder. This inspired Pearsall to connect with this “other beauty” that he now explores in his artwork. This exhibition, ‘Journey’ explores exactly that, the journey from the bright colours of Africa to the the rolling hills of our wonderful countryside as well as the darkness of industry such as the potteries.

Each week of the exhibition which will expand over 3 weeks we will be highlighting each subject, ‘Africa’, ‘Birth of Industry’ and the ‘Countryside. The exhibition will also contain music and sculpture which has inspired Pearsall’s work.
