People have always been fascinated by print art. From Stone Age hand stencils to Warhol’s Soup Cans, print has been a favoured medium for creative expression, and now we are thrilled to announce that on October 8th we will be making our very own mark with the launch of the SODEN PRINT SHOP to coincide with the opening of an exhibition of original works from the archive of the world-renowned Curwen Studio.
THE ART OF LITHOGRAPHY is an incredible exhibition, providing an exclusive opportunity to view and purchase some of the art market’s most sought-after lithographs. CURWEN has been a byword for excellence in the art world for more than a century, and by the 1930s major artists of the day were being encouraged to work directly on lithographic stones, producing some of the world’s finest pieces of printed art.
Rare lithographs from Sir Kyffin Williams, Paula Rego, Sir Peter Blake, Mary Fedden, Antony Micallef, John Bellany, Patrick Proctor, Josef Herman, Edwina Sandys and many more will be available in the gallery from October 8th 2022.
